Between May 27th and May 30th   the  Cotroceni National Museum is organizing the 15th edition of the National History, Decorative Arts History and Restoration-Conservation Symposium, one of the long traditions of our institution. As every year, the objective of the symposium is to give the opportunity of presenting researches in museums and research institutes in the country: Iaşi, Alba Iulia, Constanţa, Târgovişte, Sinaia, Braşov, Râşnov, Deva, Făgăraş, Câmpina, Sibiu, Oradea.

     The symposium is organized in three sections, with the following themes:

            I. History
           Elites and their role in Romanian society (18th - 20th century)
           
            II. Decorative Arts
            Plastic and decorative arts in museum collections in Romania

            III. Restoration - Conservation
            Museum art collections protected by conservation and restoration

     The symposium will wrap up with a trip to Veliko Târnovo in Bulgaria, offered by the Cotroceni National Museum to all participants.
