AWARDS CEREMONY AT THE COTROCENI NATIONAL MUSEUM
     The Cotroceni National Museum has awarded the partners and collaborators that support the institution's cultural events with the comemorative medal „The Cotroceni National Museum - 15 years“.

EASTER CONCERT AT THE COTROCENI NATIONAL MUSEUM
       Following the long tradition of Easter Concerts hosted in the refined atmosphere of the Cerchez Room, the National Cotroceni Museum and the „Ion Dacian“ Opera Theatre have organized, on Wednesday, April 15th 2009, 6.30pm, a concert dedicated to this special event.

       This year, the concert presented both religious pieces, classical (Ave Maria, Panis Angelicus) and modern (Pie Jesu de Andrew Lloyd Webber), and famous operas (Pietro Mascagni, Giuseppe Verdi, Franz Lehar), interpreted by the artists of the Opera Theater.

       The tenor Alfredo Pascu had succesful features both in Romania and abroad (U.S.A., Germany, Holland, Israel), and worked with Franco Zefirelli on the film Callas Forever. He was awarded in 2004 with the Cultural Merits Award by the President of Romania and in 2005 he won the prize of the Romanian Musical Forum.

       The soprana Daniela Vlădescu held concerts i in Italy, Canada, Israel, Japan, Russia, Germany, Bulgaria, the Ukraine and collaborated with the Radio National Society, theatre etc.
       The soprana Silvia Sohterus, a well established name of the Opera Theatre collaborated with the Radio Pilsen Orchestra in the Czech Republic.

       They will be joined by the soprana Mediana Vlad, the soprana Tina Munteanu, the soprana Doina Scripcaru, the soprana Patricia Seymour, the tenor Florin Budnaru, the tenor Daniel Madia and the baritone Cătălin Petrescu, and the „Ion Dacian“ Opera Theatre orchestra and chorus.
