| CONCERT DEDICATED TO ROBERT SCHUMANN, ON THE 200 ANNIVERSARY OF HIS BIRTH |

The Cotroceni National Museum, in collaboration with the Amnbassy of the Federal Republic of Germany has organized on Wednesday, April 28th 2010, in the Reception Room of the Cotroceni Museum, a concert marking the 200 anniversary of Robert Schumann’s birth. The concert presents duo „Atris“ - Adriana Toacsen (piano) and Raluca Stratulat (violin) and „Remember Enescu“ - Corina Răducanu and Eugen Dumitrescu (piano). The „Atris“ Duet - Raluca Stratulat (violin) and Adriana Toacsen (piano) have made their debut in December 2003, when they took part in the „Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart“ Contest organized by the „Gheorghe Dima“ Music Academy in Cluj, where they were rewarded the Second Prize. Other distinctions followed: Third Prize at the The Chamber Music International Contest in Salonic (Greece) 2005, the Special Prize Exces Music, Special Mention at the Ludwig van Beethoven Contest, Bucharest 2005 and the Ferdinand Weiss contest of the „Gheorghe Dima“ Music Academy in Cluj, the Third Prize at the Hungarian Music Festival, second edition. The two artists have also participated in numerous international contests in Bruxelles in 2007 and then in the US. Corina Răducanu and Eugen Dumitrescu has been part of the „Remember Enescu“ piano duo since 2005, and were later joined in 2008 by the soprana Cristina Radu, main soloist at the Opera Hall in Braşov. The chamber duo „Remember Enescu“ has been rewarded at the last three editions (2007-2009) of the Hungarian Music Festival in Bucharest, the Pietro Argento and Lorenzo Perosi contests (Italy) and have recently won The Trio of the Year 2009 prize at the Awards Gala in Culture, Arcuş, 2010. „Remember Enescu“ is a familiar presence on the stages of Bucharest, the country (Braşov, Suceava, Galaţi, Constanţa, Cluj, Arcuş-Sfântul Gheorghe) and abroad (Cernăuţi-Ucraina, Frankfurt, Stuttgart-Germania, Aalst and Bruxelles-Belgia). |
