THE SIMPHONY OF MENUS THE ROYAL FAMILY IN POSTCARDS BALCIC, A BRIDGE OVER THE AGES
     The Simphony of menus exhibition offers visitors an insight into the refined atmosphere of dinners of the Royal family. Menus prepared during the times of king Carol I, Ferdinand I and Carol II are exhibited, some bearing their signatures.
     Next to royal menus are the ones served in numerous occasions, honouring important political and cultural personalities (Ion I.C. Brătianu, Take Ionescu, gen. H. Berthelot, Mihail Manoilescu, the actress Marioara Ventura, the journalist Pamfil Şeicaru etc), served in both French and Romanian restaurants, old cook books, the Bohemia crystal table set and the silver table set of queen Mary. The exhibition also presents the public with music scores played during royal events, dedicated to queen Mary and queen Elizabeth by Franz Schubert, Ludwig van Beethoven, Carl Ziehrer, Iosif Ivanovici. The exhibition gives an insight into the daily life at the court of the Romanian royal family.
     The postcard exhibition dedicated to the Royal family, second edition, captures the Romanian Royal family in in a verity of private or official events. While the first edition of this exhibition focused on traditional costumes worn by Romanian royalties, the present edition is diverse both in content and ages captured on film. The exhibition proves postcards and photos are an important source for historiographical research.
     Balcic, a bridge over the ages painting exhibition is a project iniated and developed by Elite Art Galery. The event is part of the program „Today's painters in Balcic“, dedicated to creative camps organized in Balcic The diverse paintings reflect the famous seaside village in the fashion of the interwar period with an unmistakable contemporary touch. The guest of the opening have visited the Cotroceni National Museum and attended  a concert by Bucharest Youth Orchestra.
