The Cotroceni National Museum opened, on Thursday, the 9th of April, 6.30 pm, the painting exhibition of Mircea Novac - „Landmarks“.
A National Arts University in Bucharest alumnus, Mircea Novac moved to Holland in 1990 and, up to 2002, exhibited in Belgium, the Netherlands, Venezuela, Columbia, Argentina, U.S.A. In 2007, three years after returning to Romania, he signs an exhibition at the Art Museum of Craiova. Mircea Novac’s works are of postmodern  inspiration, after experimenting with neoexpressionism or hiperrrealism. The exhibition proves the dynamics and inventivity of one the most prodigious painters of the 80s generation, who was directly inspired by the changing art of the West. Mircea Novac’s works are so clear they suddenly seem mysterious, one art critic has said, and is one of the most prominent painters working today.
