„THE MIRAGE OF TIME“ - CLOCKS EXHIBITION
          The Cotroceni National Museum have opened on Wednesday, March 24th 2010, in the Medieval Spaces of the museum the exhibition „The Mirage of Time“.

          It was organised in collaboration with prestigious museum and libraries in Bucharest and the country: The Bucharest Municipality Museum, the National History Museum, the National Museum of Romanian Literature in Bucharest, the National Technical Museum „Prof. Ing. Dimitrie Leonida“, the National Peleş Museum, the „Nicolae Simache“ Clocks Museum Ploieşti, the History Museum Galaţi, the Museum Complex in Târgovişte, the Arts Museum Braşov, the „Ştefan Procopiu“ Science and Technical Museum Iaşi, the Romanian Literature Museum Iaşi, The Romanian Academy Library, the Central University Library Bucharest, and also of private collections holders: Doru Fărcuş, Lucia Bunaciu, Cristian Scăiceanu.

          The exhibition presents the public with more than 100 clocks, of different sizes, styles and purposes, with a large part belonging to political figures: prince Mihail Sturdza, prince Grigore Alexandru Ghica, King Ferdinand, Queen Mary, King Carol the 2nd and King Mihai, political and cultural figures Barbu Catargiu, Mihail Kogălniceanu, Alexandru Averescu, Nicolae Titulescu, Victor Place, Mihai Eminescu, Ion Heliade Rădulescu, Gala Galaction, Ion Creangă, Ştefan Procopiu, Theodor Aman, Iacob Mureşianu etc.

          The exhibition can be visited up to May 24th, from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9.30 to 5.30 pm.
