| THE NATIONAL EXHIBITION OF DECORATIVE ART, the 11th edition | |

Thursday, September 23rd 2010, at 6 pm, in the Medieval Cellars of the museum, the organizers have opened the 11th edition of the National Fair of Decorative Arts, one of the traditional exhibitions of the museum. This year, we have gathered together 110 plastic artists of decorative arts: tapestry, textile prints, ceramics, glass, metal etc. The participants are part of the Artist Unions in Bucharest, Buzău, Câmpina, Cluj-Napoca, Constanţa, Craiova, Curtea de Argeş, Iaşi, Oradea, Ploieşti, Râmnicu Vâlcea, Reghin, Târgu Mureş. We aim at promoting contemporary Romanian art and encouraging the creative potential of national artists. Apart from famous names such as Gheorghe Gogescu, Daniela Frumuşeanu, Daniela Făiniş, Traian Ştefan Boicescu, Maria Constantinescu, Lucian Butucariu, Vladimir Cioroiu, Iordanka Cioti, Ioan Oratie, Zoe Vida Porumb, Hermina Csata, Clara Livia Tudoran, Gabriela Vasilescu, Nicolae Zîmbroianu, the young generation of artistists is also present:Andreea Brăescu, Mădălina Berzentu, Raluca Căşaru, Liliana Marilena Crăciun, Alina Antuaneta Drăghici, Loredana Găină, Irina Raluca Ionescu, Ecaterina Mărghidan, Roxana Elena Pitz. The exhibition is open from Septermber 23rd 2010 to January 21st 2011 and can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday, between 9.30 to 5 pm, entrance fee 5 lei. Sponsor: Price Waterhouse Coopers.
