May 9th, The Independence Day of Romania, Europe’s Day - On this occasion, the Cotroceni National Museum organized, on the 9th of May, 2008 a series of events dedicated to the occasion, in the museum pedagogy program „Notice, Listen, Learn“, launched at the beginning of 2007.

May 9th, The Independence Day of Romania, Europe’s Day debates gathered together academics and students of the Foreign Relations-European Studies Department, „Spiru Haret“ University. Guests: univ. prof. PhD Ioan Dragoman, univ. lect. PhD Ludmila Rotaru, univ. lect. PhD Cristina Păiuşan Nuică, univ. asist. Alexandru Munteanu Lucinescu, and the general (ret) Corneliu Şandru, Second World War veteran and hero.
